Randy Lee Lewellen
February 23, 1942 - August 1, 2018
Funeral services for Randy L. Lewellen, 76, Frankfort, will be held 1 p.m. Monday at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. Marsha Woodyard will officiate. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday until service time. Mr. Lewellen died Wednesday at his residence. After living in Frankfort for fifty-two years the Lewellen’s recently relocated to Lexington. Born in Louisville, Kentucky he was a chemist for Jim Beam and National Distillery. Randy was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church and the University of Kentucky Alumni Association. He was a Kentucky Colonel and an avid UK fan who loved traveling. He was the son of the late Katherine Rose Kurtz and William Joseph Lewellen, II. Survivors include his wife Gaile Lewellen, Lexington; daughters Allison Givan, Natalie (George McMakin, III) Lewellen and Whitney (Robert) Pulcini, all of Lexington; son, Brian (LeeAnn) Lewellen, Richmond; brothers William J. (Linda) Lewellen, III, Lexington, Terrill (Sherri) Lewellen, NC; five grandchildren Jacob, Daniel, Joshua, Caroline Lewellen and Thomas Givan. Pallbearers will be Natalie Lewellen, George McMakin, III, J. C. Newton, Bruce Pulcini, Jerry Simpson and Jerry Pulliam. Honorary bearers will be Brian Lewellen, William J. Lewellen, III, Terrill Lewellen, Rob Pulcini and Robert Hager.
