Melvin Grant Ramsey Services for Melvin Grant Ramsey, 65, Frankfort, will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m. Graveside at Frankfort Cemetery. Rev. James Shepherd will officiate. Mr. Ramsey died Tuesday at his home. A native of Frankfort, he was the son of the late Melvin W. and Marie Luscher Ramsey. He was a landscape planner with the Dept. of Transportation and a farmer. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Grant Ramsey, Frankfort, and Jason Matthew Ramsey, Louisville; five sisters, Carolyn Nesselrode, Joan (Edward) Goins, Cathy (Mac) Quarles, Tammy (Walter) Weitzel, Frankfort, and Janice (Lloyd) Ogden, Cynthiana; three grandchildren, Brian Mathew, Matthew Grant, and Abigail Lynn Ramsey. Pallbearers will be Charlie Weitzel, Harold Tate, Ramsey Quarles, Bob Quarles, Frank Goins, Franklin Goins, Chris Jones and Gene Brown. Honorary bearers will be Lloyd Ogden and Edward Goins III. Visitation will be Thursday, 5:00pm 8:00 pm at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 208 Steele St., Frankfort, KY 40601.
