Services for Louis E. Pope, Sr., 89, of Frankfort will be Wednesday, March 23 at noon at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. Tom Truth and Rev. Vernon Carpenter will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors by VFW Post 4075th. Mr. Pope passed away Friday at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Frankfort. He retired from Commonwealth Life Insurance Company where he worked at a Life Insurance Agent and Staff Manager. Mr. Pope was an Army veteran of WW 2 and of the Korean War. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the VFW Post 4075th. Mr. Pope was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Pope, and his parents, William and Anna Lee Brawner Pope. Mr. Pope is survived by his son, Eddie Pope, Jr., Frankfort; daughter, Melody House Daly, Frankfort; brother, Arthur (Ophie) Pope, Lawrenceburg; sister, Jean (Paul), Versailles; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
