Mr. Larry B Thomas
July 3, 1947 - October 7, 2014
Larry B. Thomas, 67, of Frankfort, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 7. Visitation will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Friday, October 10 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. Burial services with military honors will be held at Frankfort Cemetery from 12:30 to 1:30 with Witness to the Resurrection worship services following at the church at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Thomas retired from AT&T with thirty eight years of service as a electronic technician, He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and served in the U.S. Air Force with a tour in Vietnam from 69-70. Mr. Thomas was a talented woodworker who enjoyed many things but the most important accomplishment to him was being a father and grandfather who loved and was loved in return. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Tincher Thomas; son, William Adam Thomas; daughters, Shannon Thomas Voight (Cory), Bronwyn Thomas Miller (Kyle); four grandsons, Will and Jacob Voight and Nolan and Bryson Molohon; brothers, Robert Thomas and Michael Thomas (Marcia) of Beattyville, KY, Donald Thomas (Yvonne) all of Frankfort; sisters, Sue Hatton (Carl) and Marlene Thorpe, both of Frankfort; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son, his parents, Bill and Imogene Thomas, a niece, Teresa Hatton and brother, Billy Gene Thomas. Reynolds Road, Suite 201, Lexington, KY 40517 to provide much needed support for other Kentucky veterans; Dr. Shadia Jalal’s lung cancer research in recognition of the work she does to find a cure for this deadly disease and the help she extended to our family.
