Mrs. John Eva Huffman

July 5, 1924 - May 11, 2018

Ms. John Eva Huffman, of Lexington, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones, Friday, May 11, 2018 at Baptist Health. Born in Brodhead, KY on July 5, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Mattie Mae Brooks Fletcher King and John James Fletcher. An adoring wife and doting mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Walter H. Huffman, Jr. She is survived by her children; Dr. Eric F. Huffman and wife, Glynis, and Francine K. Huffman, all of Lexington, KY, granddaughters; Abbi (Aaron) Keen of Bluffton, SC, Susan (Ryan) Proffitt of Warner Robins, GA, and great granddaughters; Emily Gray Keen, Elizabella Kay Proffitt, and Edelyn Elaine Keen. She was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Fletcher Wright. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend special thanks for the loving care she received from her caregivers, Veda White and Lainie Atkinson.
