Freeman Dayle Johnson

Services for Freeman Dayle Johnson, 86, will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home. Bro. Josh Rucker will officiate. Burial will follow at Bagdad Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. A Jacksonville, Kentucky native, he was a farmer and member and former Deacon of Indian Fork Baptist Church. He loved bowling, baseball and Kentucky men and women’s basketball. He proudly served his country in the Army as a PFC during the Korean War. He died Sunday at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Survivors include his daughters, Brenda Johnson Colvin (Gary), Bloomfield, KY, Diane Johnson Luttrell (Randy), Frankfort; a son, David Wayne Johnson (Paula), Frankfort; a sister, Wilma Joyce Brown, Shelbyville, 7 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Clay and Pansy Bell Semones Johnson and his wife, Nancy. Travis Johnson, David Paul Johnson, Joshua Pardi, Ryan Goff, Kenny Slusher, Philip Slusher, and William LeMay will serve all pallbearers. Wayne Shields, Jimmy Brown, Tommy Ruble, Jeff Allen, and Nichole Upchuch Goff will serve as honorary pallbearers.
