Erma Myrtle Thompson

Services for Erma Myrtle Aldridge Thompson, 78, Bagdad, will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. Melvin LeCompte and Bro. Grant Odell will officiate. Burial will follow at Bagdad Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday at Crestview Care and Rehabilitation in Shelbyville. A native of Bald Knob she was a former employee for Genesco Shoe and store clerk at Belk Simpson Store and Kisers Grocery. She was a member of Indian Fork Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Lillian Terrell Aldridge. Preceding her in death were her son, Timothy Thompson; sisters Nellie Snow, Elizabeth Moffett, Edith Lois Stacy and brothers, Vernon and Billy Aldridge. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Billy Thompson, Bagdad; daughters, Linda (Ralph) Divine and Teresa (Glenn) Stivers, Bagdad; sons Larry Thompson, David (Betty) Thompson, Bagdad and Rodney (Lisa) Thompson of Louisville; eleven grandchildren Brent & Derek Edwards, Amy & Wesley Thompson, Marisa Poe, Brad & Justin Thompson, Jared & Devon Stivers, Will & Colton Thompson; five sisters, Geneva Hatcher, Lula Bell (Kenneth) LeCompte, and Margaret Bailey, all of Frankfort; Audrey Baker, Bagdad, Helen (Gayle) Bramblett, Pleasureville; brother, Tommy Aldridge, Louisville; nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will her grandsons and honorary bearers will be granddaughters. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Indian Fork Baptist Church.
