Doris Jean Hall "Sis"

Services for Doris Jean Hall “Sis”, 78, Lawrenceburg, will be held Monday, May 23, 2011, 1:00 PM at LeCompte-Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home. Brother Jay Stratton will officiate. Burial will follow in Switzer Cemetery. Mrs. Hall passed away Friday May 20, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her husband James Lee Hall. A native of Franklin County she was a cafeteria worker 25 years at Elkhorn Elementary School with the Franklin County School Systems. She is the longest attending member of North Fork Baptist Church, a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She was very proud to earn her GED after raising her children and she loved fishing. She was the daughter of the late Ira B. and Margaret Lewis Hockensmith. Survivors include her son, Kenny Hall(Hilary)of Ellijay, GA; two daughters, Linda Hedges(Dale) and Debbie Riddle (Scott), both of Frankfort; three sisters, Joann Cox, Lucille Miller (R.D.) and Connie Centers(Walter) all of Lawrenceburg; three brothers Bobby, Roy and Ronnie Hockensmith, all of Frankfort. She has five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Dale Hedges, Scotty Riddle, Jason Hall, Daniel Wilson, Aaron Renfro, Michael Bramer, Walter Centers and R.D. Miller. Honorary pallbearers are the 4 granddaughters, Laurie Wilson, Melissa Renfro, Heather Bramer and Tabatha Hall. Flowers are welcomed and expressions of sympathy may be made to Switzer Cemetery Fund, North Fork Baptist Church, 3660 Rocky Branch Road, Frankfort, KY, 40601.
