Betty J. Thompson
February 21, 1949 - July 5, 2018
Funeral services for Betty J. Thompson, 69, of Bagdad, will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home in Frankfort. Ben Early will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mrs. Thompson died Thursday evening at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. A native of Lawrenceburg, Betty worked as a crew leader at Florida Tile and later was a line worker at Atlantic Envelope. She was also a member of Glensboro Christian Church. She was the daughter of the late Minnie Pearl Pearson and George Jamison and was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Ward and Wilma Jamison, and brothers, George and Melvin Jamison. Survivors include her husband David Thompson, daughters, Stacey Dial, Junction City, Billie L. Thompson, Bagdad, step-daughter, Marissa (Chris) Poe, Bagdad, step-sons, David Bradley Thompson, Bagdad, and Justin Allen (Amber) Thompson, Shelbyville. Also included are grandchildren, Jordan Belt, Shaylee Belt, Hailey Poe, Gavin Poe, Aiden, Nolan, Barrett, and Briar Thompson, great-grandson, Bryson Belt, sisters, Linda Case, Gracie Sabine, Carole Jamison, brothers, Carl and James Jamison, and her best friends, Jeannie Thomas and Linda Hahn.
